About the Award:
The WBG YPP is a beginning point for an exciting career at the World Bank Group. Young Specialists are all recruited from around the planet with various academic and professional backgrounds pertinent to the World Bank, IFC and MIGA.

- Master or doctoral degree*
- Specialization at a field related to YPP Business Areas applicable professional expertise or continuing study at the doctoral level**

*Graduate degree requirements change By institution:
For WB placement: Entire a pertinent graduate degree by June 30, 2020 or even a PhD before September 2021.
For IFC & MIGA placement: Complete a pertinent graduate level (ex: Master of Business Administration, Economics, International Relations, Science, and Engineering) before September 2021.
**Professional expertise Conditions vary by association:
For WB positioning: Prove 3+ years of relevant experience, Or the same in continuing study at the doctoral stage.
For IFC & MIGA placement: Demonstrate4+ years of relevant experience In fund, political risk insurance and credit enhancement, project/program development, economic development and/or consulting. Certifications such as the CFA really are an advantage.

Professional Experience
The WBG YPP is a two-year direction Development application at the beginning of a five-year employment contract together with the World Bank, IFC or MIGA. As part of the two-year program, YPs undertake rotational assignments inside their sponsor company, still yet another WBG institution and/or a field division, where they develop invaluable handson expertise in different areas of our organization. WBG YPs make significant contributions to their host unit’s job program, while building networks and knowledge of our policies and operations –on the project and in the class room.
Fieldwork
Younger Professionals are likely to Join colleagues on business trips to the field, also called’assignments’ These missions make it possible for YPs to focus on the frontlines of international development, learning key elements of our work while directly engaging with customers in developing countries. Furthermore, as a portion of this WBG YPP curriculum, YPs are encouraged to take rotations within the specialty.
Training
The WBG YPP curriculum was Designed to make certain that YPs develop into a WBG mindset, the foundational knowledge to understand and contribute to our own enterprise and the competencies required for leadership development: team-building, collaboration, innovation, continuous learning and integrative thinking.
The program includes a mix of Learning actions, in cohort, small group and individual settings, both on the web and on site. Activities range from leadership training and career advancement workshops to media, mentorship and conversations using WBG leadership.
